Assistant Manager
As an Assistant Manager at Kopenhagen Coffee, you are expected to support the Head of Operations in overseeing the daily operations of the café, ensuring excellent customer service and high quality food and beverage offerings.
Assistance in managing staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment for customers are some of your main tasks.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities- Aid the Head of Operations in daily operations, including staff supervision and scheduling
- Ensure exceptional service and handle customer inquiries and complaints efficiently
- Assist in training new employees and continuously guide current staff to meet performance standards
- Help monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed to maintain optimal inventory
- Support implementation of quality standards and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in cash handling, sales reconciliation and report preparation
- Address operational challenges promptly with practical solutions
- Foster a positive work environment through strong teamwork and communication
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred.
Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the food and beverage or hospitality industry.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities to motivate and manage staff effectively.
Ability to train, mentor, and develop team members.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Ability to handle customer complaints and inquiries with professionalism.
Operational Skills: Understanding of café operations, including food and beverage preparation, service standards, and health regulations.
Knowledge of inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with staff and customers.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a busy environment.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think on your feet and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Strong decision-making skills to ensure smooth daily operations.
