Internship Workday functional architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Workday Functional Architect to design, implement, and optimize Workday solutions for our organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Workday HCM, Financials, or other functional modules and will act as a strategic advisor to ensure Workday aligns with business requirements.

1. Solution Design & Architecture

• Lead the design and configuration of Workday solutions (HCM, Payroll, Financials, Talent, etc.).
• Define system architecture, integrations, and data flows within Workday.
• Ensure scalability, security, and compliance with best practices.

1. Business Process Optimization

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into Workday solutions.
• Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities within Workday.
• Conduct fit-gap analysis and propose solutions for complex business needs.

1. Implementation & Configuration

• Configure Workday modules (Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, etc.).
• Lead testing (Unit, UAT, Regression) and troubleshoot issues.
• Manage Workday releases and evaluate new features for adoption.

1. Integration & Data Management

• Design and oversee Workday integrations (EIB, Studio, Cloud Connect, etc.).
• Ensure data integrity and governance across Workday and connected systems.
• Work with technical teams on middleware (Boomi, MuleSoft) for seamless integrations.

1. Stakeholder Management & Leadership

• Serve as a Workday subject matter expert (SME) for business leaders and IT teams.
• Mentor junior analysts and consultants on Workday best practices.
• Provide training and documentation for end-users.

• Experience with Workday Extend or Prism Analytics.
• Background in ERP or HRIS transformation projects.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Workday Pro Certification in HCM, Financials, or related modules.
• 5+ years of hands-on Workday implementation and architecture experience.

• Knowledge of SOX compliance, data privacy, and audit controls in Workday.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
