Job Requirement:

• A holder of an undergraduate Degree or Advance/Higher Diploma in Civil & Structure Engineering/Building/Construction or equivalent.
• Certificate of Registration of Inspector of Works with Board of Engineers Malaysia
• Minimum 5 years working experience working at construction site as a site supervisor or an inspector of work. Prior experience as site inspector for civil and structural works in mixed-use high-rise residential projects will be an added advantage.
• Required IT Skill(s): Ms Office, Ms Project, Auto Cad
• Required Language Proficiency: Bahasa Malaysia & English
• Dedicated and proactive with good interpersonal/communication skill and a team player.
• Preference will be given to candidates who are available and able to join our team in short notice.
• Successful candidate will be based at our project site in Jalan Kuching, Kuala Lumpur.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• To be assigned to C&S Consultant as Inspector of Work for Civil and Structural Works.
• To assist the C&S Consultant to execute, coordinate and monitor the quality and proper implementation of all civil and structural (C&S) works at project constriction site.
• Attend/witness material testing i.e., concrete cube test, rebar tensile test etc. and keep proper record of the test results.
• Standing supervision, inspection, and monitoring of all the required work procedures as per Drawings, Specification and Contract which are to be carried out together with Main Contractor’s staff (e.g., piling works, concreting works, rectification works, etc.).
• To support the administration of the RFWI (Request of Work Inspection) and NCR (Non-Compliance Report) process for C&S works; ensuring the RFWI and NCR are being processed and inspections properly arranged/scheduled and conducted within pre-defined timeframe.
• Give signature to relevant RFWI/NCR once the required inspection tasks have been properly completed as specified/required and to recommend closure of RFWI/ NCR or otherwise stating reason(s).
• To monitor construction progress against approved design and applicable standards: this infers a broad surveillance role beyond the specificity of undertaking the requested inspections.
• To monitor closely and take prompt action to address arising drawing/documents discrepancies and liaise with the project team/consultant to resolve all related arising technical issues.
• To monitor and control the quality of works by the sub-contractors, quality of materials delivered to ensure the efficiency of the works to the highest level in accordance to the drawings and specifications.
• Always prepare and maintain all site reports/project documents in good order.
• To update and verify all as-built technical drawings are in good order.
• Proactively assisting the project team in developing and maintaining a proactive safety culture and incorporate surveillance of aspects site safety management into his/her daily works inspection activities.
• To provide support to all other members of the construction supervision team on site management matters as may be requested by the Resident Engineer and/ or Consulting Engineer, which shall include the following areas:
• To assist the Resident Engineer and/ or Consulting Engineer in coordinating all inspection activities and resources.
• Monitoring project(s) delivery against agreed baseline schedules.
• Implementation, monitoring and control of the quality of the project.
