We are currently looking for an Art Director to join our quest.
Job Summary:The Art Director is responsible for the creation of the Production Designer’s creative vision for all the sets and locations. The Art Director oversees the entire process of design from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the work of other departments, such as layout, lighting, sound, props, and know how your designs affect their work
- Oversee and guide artists in achieving the Director’s vision
- Assist with creation of concept art, character designs, visual development and background reference
- Explore and present the visual direction for characters, environments/sets, and props as a guide for the asset team during visual development
- Obtain client approval by presenting final artwork and responding to client’s comments and requests
- Work in adherence to budget and schedule constraints while maintaining the show’s overall look and mood
- Work closely with the Lighting and Compositing team to ensure that the final output conforms to the art direction standards
Required Skills:
- 8+ years as a professional art/animation
- 4+ years’ experience in supervisory role
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly to small or large groups
- Possess a good eye for detail
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art is desired
- Strong traditional skills in design, painting, illustration and animation
- Strong knowledge of graphic design, layout, and colour theory
- Expert knowledge of Photoshop and working knowledge of 3D software is required
- The ability to generate a reliable supply of original ideas and visual concepts
- The resilience to perform under pressure and deliver high quality work to tight deadlines

- This position will require the successful applicant to relocate and work on-site at our studio in Kota Damansara, Malaysia.
