- Education: Diploma or above in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Typically, 0–2 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in financial reporting and general ledger management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and generate reports.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all accounting activities.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to management and liaising with external stakeholders
- Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies in financial reporting.
- Review and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
General Ledger Maintenance:
- Oversee and manage the general ledger (GL), ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
- Perform monthly and yearly closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Monitor the integrity of accounting data and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor and track actual performance against the budget, identifying variances and providing explanations.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to help improve financial planning and decision-making.
Accounts Reconciliation:
- Ensure the accuracy of reconciliations for all major accounts, including bank accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues in account balances.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Maintain and enforce strong internal controls to ensure accuracy and prevent fraud or financial misstatements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and tax laws.
- Assist with audits (internal and external), ensuring smooth audit processes and the timely preparation of necessary documentation.
Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate income taxes, sales taxes, and other relevant filings.
- Stay updated on tax law changes and ensure the organization’s compliance with all tax regulations.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and governmental agencies when necessary.
Team Leadership and Training:
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on accounting processes and procedures.
- Assist in training new hires and providing ongoing support to junior staff members.
- Review and approve work performed by junior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Provide detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as needed for management and stakeholders.
- Use financial data to offer recommendations for improving financial performance and operational efficiency.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and enhance efficiency.
- Suggest improvements in financial reporting systems and tools to increase accuracy and timeliness.
- 5 days working days Monday to Friday
- Wroking hours 10am - 7pm
