Internship Marketing Executive

We're looking for a curious and driven marketing intern to join us at Bukku Accounting and get hands-on experience in the field.

This internship is ideal for someone who’s eager to learn, not afraid of challenges, and ready to roll up their sleeves to support our marketing team.

What you will gain hands-on experience in:

1. You’ll get to apply what you’ve learned in class to real-world projects — from proposing advertising concepts and writing strategic ad copy, to planning scroll-stopping visuals and working with our freelance designer to bring them to life. You’ll also help pull everything together to launch a complete marketing campaign.
2. As you get more familiar with the process, you’ll have the chance to get hands-on experience setting up simple Facebook / Instagram / TikTok ads — including choosing campaign objectives, allocating budgets, targeting audiences, adding copy and visuals, and learning how to avoid violating ad policies. Once you’re confident with Facebook Ads, you can also request the opportunity to try setting up a Google or YouTube ad.
3. You’ll also learn how to monitor ad performance with a clear goal in mind — understanding key metrics like reach, CPC, and more. You’ll gain hands-on experience in analysing results and making small tweaks to improve your ads over time.
4. You’ll get to know your audience by responding to their enquiries on Messenger. Through these interactions, you’ll start to understand their behaviour, needs, and what matters to them — insights that are valuable for shaping future campaigns.
5. Bring your Gen Z energy and creative ideas — propose organic social media content that’s fun, engaging and true to our brand (no old-school cringe). Help us build a presence that people genuinely enjoy and connect with. You should have a good sense of what kind of content people actually vibe with these days.
6. You might also get the chance to work with social media influencers and be involved in the conversation about how our brand is featured in their content.
7. Final-year student or fresh grad in marketing, communications or related fields.
8. Strong passion in marketing, digital marketing and social media.
9. Strong written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu, as our target audience includes all races in Malaysia. It’s a bonus if you can also speak and write well in Mandarin.
10. Basic understanding of digital platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or Google Ads is a plus. If not, you should at least be an active user of some of these platforms and familiar with how they work.
11. Eager to learn, organised, and not afraid to ask questions.
12. Has a good aesthetic sense and understands what makes a social media or ad visual visually appealing.
13. Detail-oriented with the ability to avoid careless mistakes.
14. Takes responsibility for getting things done right, not just done.
15. Fun and easy to get along with personality.
16. Good sense of humour.
