You will be responsible for strategic cost analysis, process optimization, and value engineering within their metal fabrication and assembly supply chain.
about the job- Accurately prepare RFQ (Request for Quotation) costing to meet customer deadlines.
- Develop cost estimates and projections from various sources, including written assumptions, sample parts, and engineering drawings.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provides costing calculations based on the company's capabilities.
- Gather data to estimate all production costs, including raw materials, labor, equipment, and tooling.
- Collaborate with a team to develop proposals that align with client needs and objectives.
- Provide a costing summary to facilitate decision-making on selling price confirmation.
about the manager/team
The senior costing engineer will report directly to the sales and customer service manager. You will be expected to work in a team size of 6-10 members.
skills & experience required- University degree is required along with relevant experience is an added advantage.
- A good proven track record in academic achievement and fluency in English is essential.
- Excellent human relation, communication and negotiation skills are critical.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office is a must.
- Must be able to represent the company in account development.
- Added advantages – Equip with sheet metal process technical knowledge.
