Assistant Manager, Supply Chain (FMCG/F&B/Retail)

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in FMCG, F&B retail, or supply chain operations
  • Strong experience in modern trade, retail distribution, and outlet supply chain management is required
  • Solid understanding of import/export, warehouse operations, and logistics management
  • Experience managing supply chain in a multi-outlet retail chain is highly preferred
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in Excel, ERP systems, and supply chain reporting tools
  • Able to work in a fast-paced FMCG retail environment
  • Fluent in English, Malay and Mandarin. Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full supply chain operations including procurement coordination, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution
  • Manage supply chain execution for retail outlets, ensuring consistent and timely stock replenishment
  • Oversee supplier relationships both local and overseas to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and delivery performance
  • Manage import and export operations including shipment planning, customs clearance, and documentation compliance
  • Ensure smooth supply chain support for modern trade accounts including hypermarkets and supermarkets
  • Ensure compliance with retail and customer delivery requirements including OTIF (On Time In Full) performance
  • Lead demand planning and stock forecasting in collaboration with sales and operations teams
  • Oversee inventory control, stock ageing, expiry management, and slow-moving stock reduction
  • Manage warehouse and logistics operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timely distribution
  • Support new outlet opening readiness by ensuring proper stock allocation and delivery planning
  • Identify supply chain inefficiencies and implement improvements to reduce cost and improve service levels
  • Manage logistics partners and evaluate performance based on cost, speed, and reliability
  • Prepare and present supply chain performance reports and KPIs to management
  • Support and guide supply chain team members to ensure operational excellence
