QUALIFICATIONS AND WORKING EXPERIENCE
- Diploma / Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree in Plantation / Agriculture.
- At least 5 years of working experience in plantation management.
- Good command of Malaysia and English; written and verbal.
- Strong ability to plan, analyze, organize, leading, control, delegate, trouble shoot and able to communicate clearly.
- Possess strong leadership skills including the ability to manage people, time and deadline effectively and able to handle conflicts. Inspires, motivates and develops others
- Computer Literate
- Good knowledge of SAP System
- Good Agricultural Practices
- To lead team members in managing the estate’s division assigned to the incumbent as well as implementing and maintaining good agricultural practices according to the company policy.
- To plan, organize and implement work programmes within the approved budget in order to achieve optimum productivity and work quality. The work programmes cover, but is not limited to, the following: road access; harvester access; sufficiency of well-trained workers and harvesters; adequacy of facilities for all staff within the estate; upkeep program; fertilizer program; and sufficiency of supply of key stocks to ensure fulfilment of work programs.
- Inspect actual work done according to plans and standards; and whenever there is a variance, help develop the appropriate remedial actions.
- To review, monitor daily, weekly and monthly report and highlight estate issues to the Estate Manager for action.
- Check to ensure that accurate operational and cost information is provided to the estate office clerks.
- Comply with and ensure compliance among the workers of all Company policies.
- Regularly update the EM of key developments and issues in his division.
- To assist in preparing estate annual budget.
- To ensure that all estate operations are in compliance with the Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) policy and other related statutory regulations.
- Overseeing other projects and activities within the company such as housing construction, workers welfare, quarry operations, security, civil works and others as may be assigned by the estate management from time to time.
