Manager, Total Quality Management (Automotive)

JOB SUMMARY:
- As the Manager of Total Quality Management, you will be responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, and deployment of Quality Management initiatives across company’s headquarters and all affiliated manufacturing plants. This role is crucial in upholding company’s core philosophy of continuous improvement (Kaizen) and customer satisfaction by embedding a culture of quality excellence throughout the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement company-wide Quality Management strategies in alignment with company’s global quality standards and corporate vision.
- Serve as the central point of contact for Quality Management activities between the headquarters and all manufacturing plants globally.
- Lead cross-functional quality improvement projects to address systemic issues and drive performance enhancements across production sites.
- Facilitate the deployment of the Production System principles and quality methodologies including PDCA, QC Story, and 5-Why analysis.
- Oversee quality audits, self-assessments, and benchmarking exercises to evaluate and improve quality systems across locations.
- Provide coaching and training on Quality Management tools and concepts to management teams and frontline leaders to build organizational capability.
- Coordinate the sharing of best practices, lessons learned, and standardized work procedures across plants to promote consistency and quality excellence.
- Monitor KPIs related to quality and lead root cause analysis and countermeasure development as needed.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as R&D, Procurement, Production Engineering, and Field Quality to ensure end-to-end quality integration.
- Report on quality performance and Quality Management progress to senior leadership and support decision-making through data-driven insights.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally within the automotive industry.
- Deep understanding of Quality Management philosophies, automotive production system, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale quality improvement initiatives across multiple sites.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, 8D, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel to manufacturing sites both domestically and internationally.
PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent credentials.
- Experience working in a MNC corporate environment or global matrix structure.
- Fluent in English.
