Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Baking or Pastry (or equivalent experience)
- Able to speak in English
- Fresh graduate are welcome to apply
- 1–2 years of experience in a bakery, hotel, café, or similar environment (fresh grads with internship experience are encouraged to apply)
- Basic knowledge of pastry techniques and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and passion for baking
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to kitchen standards
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Familiarity with food hygiene and kitchen safety practices
- Assist in the preparation of a variety of pastries, breads, cakes, cookies, and desserts
- Support the Head Pastry Chef in daily production and mise en place
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards accurately
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory rotation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station at all times
- Ensure all food items are stored and handled safely according to food safety standards
- Assist in decorating cakes and pastries creatively and consistently
- Keep up to date with new trends in baking and pastry techniques
- Work as part of a team and support colleagues during busy periods
