Job Summary

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages to customers. The role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring a pleasant experience for all patrons.

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, cappuccinos, lattes, and brewed coffee.
• Operate coffee machines and equipment efficiently and safely.
• Take customer orders and answer questions about the menu and beverages.
• Ensure the coffee bar is fully stocked with necessary supplies, including coffee beans, milk, syrups, and pastries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment.
• Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling of ingredients.
• Manage cash register, handle payments, and give change accurately.
• Assist in the creation of seasonal drinks and promotions.
• Offer recommendations and upsell products (e.g., snacks, pastries, and coffee beans).
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
• Support other staff in maintaining the shop’s ambiance and atmosphere.
• Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of the coffee shop.
