Database Specialist

Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Database Administration, preferably in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience managing Oracle databases in on-premise environments.
- Familiarity with database performance tuning, SQL optimization, and database monitoring.
- Experience managing backup and recovery processes and performing database patching and upgrades.
- Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) or experience supporting cloud migration projects is an advantage.
- Experience managing databases across multiple servers or distributed environments is highly preferred.
- Good understanding of database security, user access management, and data integrity.
- Ability to troubleshoot production database issues and support mission-critical systems.
- Self-motivated, proactive learner who is willing to explore cloud technologies and new solutions.
- Manage and maintain databases that support telehealth remote monitoring systems and web applications.
- Ensure database performance, stability, and availability for systems that store and process large volumes of patient monitoring data.
- Monitor database performance and perform performance tuning including SQL tuning and optimization.
- Manage backup, recovery, patching, and database maintenance to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Support the migration of databases from on-premise environments to cloud platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in production environments within agreed timelines.
- Manage database access control, user roles, and security according to organizational standards.
- Work closely with application teams and IT stakeholders to ensure databases support web-based applications effectively.
- Provide recommendations for database improvements, scalability, and reliability as the telehealth platform continues to grow.
