IT Project Manager (Banking)

What you'll do:
As an IT Project Manager in the banking sector, your role will be multifaceted. You'll be responsible for providing strategic direction for all application and infrastructure projects across the bank. This includes managing the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure while ensuring that all documentation is updated at every phase.You'll also serve as the primary point of contact for various stakeholders - senior executives, department heads, and external vendors.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for all application and infrastructure projects across the bank
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers
- Manage the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure
- Ensure all project documentation is updated at every phase
- Serve as the primary point of contact for various stakeholders
- Manage diverse projects including software implementation, system integration, cloud migration, cybersecurity enhancements, and infrastructure upgrades
- Establish and enforce project governance frameworks in alignment with internal audit standards, risk management policies, and banking regulations
- Identify potential risks and issues across the project portfolio early
- Develop and track project budgets, approve expenditures, and ensure resource utilization is cost-effective
- Prepare and deliver high-quality reports, dashboards, and presentations to executive leadership
What you bring:

You'll have a proven track record of managing complex enterprise projects in both application development and infrastructure domains.Your strong leadership skills will be essential in managing and mentoring a team of project managers. Additionally, your deep knowledge of project management methodologies and tools will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related field
- Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2 or PMI-ACP are highly desirable
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in project management with at least 3 years in a leadership or portfolio management role
- Proven experience in managing complex enterprise projects in both application development and infrastructure domains
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage teams of project managers
- Deep knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana)
- Familiarity with core banking systems, digital channels (mobile/web), enterprise applications, and IT infrastructure (networks, servers)
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to produce executive-level presentations, reports, and documentation
