Early Childhood Educator

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.
• Experience working with children with special needs is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills and patience in handling children with different challenges.
• Creative, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• Knowledge of therapy-based teaching techniques such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or Montessori is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement appropriate learning activities for children with special needs based on their individual needs.
• Provide a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for learning and development.
• Apply early intervention strategies to support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and motor development.
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding the child’s progress and offer necessary guidance and support.
• Collaborate with therapy teams (e.g., speech therapists, occupational therapists) to ensure the consistent implementation of intervention plans.
• Monitor and document each child’s progress and prepare periodic progress reports.
• Manage children’s behavior using positive and effective strategies.
• Attend training sessions and professional development programs to enhance skills in special needs education.
