Role Summary:
This role leads the planning, coordination, and execution of Workday HRIS cutover and release activities across multiple modules (HCM, Recruitment, Absence, Learning, Talent& Performance, Advanced Compensation, Adaptive Planning etc.). The position ensures seamless transitions during system implementations and upgrades, while maintaining governance, minimizing risk, and ensuring business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
Cutover Management:
- Lead and manage cutover planning and execution for Workday implementations and updates.
- Develop detailed cutover schedules across technical (reports, integrations, security), functional (HCM, Recruitment, Absence, Learning, Talent& Performance, Advanced Compensation, Adaptive Planning etc.), and organizational change management (OCM) areas.
- Coordinate mock cutovers and final cutover execution.
- Identify and manage cutover tasks, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve escalations and ensure readiness for go-live.
- Provide comprehensive reporting on cutover progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Release Management:
- Plan and execute Workday release cycles, including feature adoption, testing, deployment, and post-release reviews.
- Collaborate with Workday functional leads, business users, and change control boards to assess release impacts.
- Ensure strict adherence to governance and change control processes.
- Drive deployment and adoption of new Workday features aligned with business needs.
- Maintain documentation and metrics related to release activities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance:
- Serve as a consultative partner to HR, IT, and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication.
- Ensure alignment with HR technology roadmaps and organizational goals.
- Lead governance efforts to ensure consistency and quality in release and cutover processes.
