Software Engineer

Salary Range: RM4,000.00 – RM6,000.00 (Depending on Experience)

Company Description:

The Software Engineer will work with a team of experienced engineers and get hands-on experience in both frontend and backend development. This is an ideal role if you’re familiar with MVC frameworks and want to learn Ruby on Rails in a production environment.

This is a hybrid position, with work split between remote (work-from-home) and on-site at Golden Destinations by ICE HOLIDAYS Sdn Bhd’s office in Malaysia.

Requirements:

• 1 – 3 years of hands-on experience in web development.
• Strong foundation in programming, object-oriented design, and databases.
• Familiar with at least one MVC framework (e.g., Laravel, Django, Spring, .NET MVC, etc.).
• Eager to learn Ruby on Rails in a production environment.
• Some experience with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Team player with a continuous learning mindset.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with React or other JS frameworks (Vue, Angular).
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
• Exposure to Agile development and CI/CD pipelines.
• Build, maintain, and improve features across our full stack applications
• Work collaboratively with team members on coding, reviews, and architecture decisions
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues
