  • Proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential;

  • Basic legal knowledge related to conveyancing processes and procedures is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with legal software or databases.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently manage assigned tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Assist lawyers in preparing and processing legal documents related to property transactions, including sale and purchase agreements, loan documentation, and transfer forms.
  • Conduct thorough title searches and land registry checks to verify property ownership, identify encumbrances, and ensure clear title for conveyancing transactions.
  • Prepare and manage correspondence with clients, banks, government agencies, and other relevant parties involved in the conveyancing process, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Maintain and organize physical and electronic files, ensuring all documents are properly indexed, stored, and easily retrievable for efficient case management.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including disbursement accounts and statements of adjustments, ensuring accurate calculation and reconciliation of funds.
  • Monitor and track critical deadlines, such as option expiry dates, financing approval dates, and closing dates, to ensure timely completion of conveyancing transactions.
  • Provide administrative support to lawyers, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling phone calls, to facilitate smooth and efficient workflow.
