Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Software Engineers.
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations.This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.
The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
Looking for an experienced Business Analyst for the core Treasury IT team to support the bank's treasury division for the business with Commodities, Credit Derivatives, FXD, IRD, FX, MM, Fixed Income products
Responsibilities
Requirement Analysis & Solution Design
Analyse stakeholder requirements and formulate functional design proposals aligned with Front Office expectations
Translate business needs into functional specifications and solution designs
Develop domain roadmaps considering business and technical constraints
FO Functional Delivery (Murex)
Deliver and support enhancements on Murex Front Office (FO) module
Support:
Trade booking and validation
Pricing and P&L calculations
Market data configuration
Ensure high-quality functional delivery and smooth implementation
BO Awareness & Integration
Maintain understanding of Back Office processes and FO–BO integration
Ensure seamless data flow across:
Trade lifecycle
Downstream systems (Risk, BO, Finance)
Testing & Release Management
Participate in SIT/UAT and release cycles
Validate:
Trade lifecycle flows
Pricing and P&L outputs
Ensure smooth deployment and production readiness
Production Support & Issue Resolution
Support issue resolution related to:
Front Office trading
P&L and Product Control
Market Data
Trade booking issues
Provide functional support during production and post-release
Stakeholder Management & Advisory
Act as a bridge between Business and IT teams
Communicate architectural principles and delivery standards
Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders
Skills
Must have
3–5 years of experience as System Analyst / Business Analyst / Functional Consultant
Mandatory hands-on experience in Murex Front Office (FO) module
Strong knowledge of financial instruments:
Equities
Interest Rates
FX
Commodities
Experience in Investment Banking / Risk domain
Strong expertise in:
Requirement gathering
Functional specification documentation
Experience in SIT/UAT and release cycles
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Working knowledge of SQL Server
