Tax Associate

- Proficiency in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia is essential to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
- Strong understanding of tax compliance principles and practices.
- Ability to conduct tax research and apply relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with financial accounting principles and corporate tax regulations.
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including corporate tax, individual tax, and sales tax (SST).
- Maintain accurate and organized tax records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
- Conduct tax research and analysis on relevant tax laws and regulations to support tax planning and compliance activities.
- Assist in tax audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Support senior tax team members in identifying tax planning opportunities and developing tax-efficient strategies for clients.
- Prepare tax computations and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information for tax preparation and address tax-related inquiries.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company and its clients.
- Provide support in ad-hoc tax projects and assignments as required.
