Possess a Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in construction project management, demonstrating a progressive increase in responsibilities and project complexity.
- Proficient in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, utilizing industry-standard software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve project goals and deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the capacity to identify potential issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize project disruptions.
- Proven experience in budget management, including cost estimation, cost control, and financial reporting, ensuring projects are completed within allocated budgets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Knowledge of risk management principles and practices, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards in Kuala Lumpur, ensuring compliance with all applicable requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and design to execution, completion, and handover, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and creating detailed work breakdown structures, schedules, and resource allocation plans.
- Lead and manage project teams, providing clear direction, guidance, and support to team members, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Manage project budgets effectively, tracking expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing cost control measures to ensure projects remain within budget.
- Identify and assess project risks, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions and ensure project success.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and project team members, maintaining open communication channels and providing regular project updates and reports.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards, implementing and enforcing safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Proactively identify and resolve project-related issues and challenges, utilizing problem-solving skills and collaborating with team members to find effective solutions.
- Monitor project progress closely, tracking key milestones and performance indicators, and taking corrective action as needed to keep projects on track.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring they meet project requirements and deadlines, and resolving any conflicts or issues that may arise.
