Job Purpose

Accountable for the for providing electrical maintenance services pertaining to electrical equipment / installations within DCC2, PMU2 and metering room (within GDCM boundary) to ensure a safe, reliable and continuous operation of plant facilities and to meet customer demands and compliance with statutory requirements, PETRONAS and GDC(M) policies and guidelines.

• To provide electrical maintenance on DCC2 and PMU2 electrical equipment. This comprises of executing electrical task such as inspection, testing, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul.
• To supervise and monitor maintenance electrical Contractor’s activities to ensure work is done as per specification and incompliance with PETRONAS standards HSE requirements.
• Assist Senior Technician in troubleshooting and analysing equipment failures to ascertain its root cause and eliminate recurrence.
• Perform troubleshooting and field fault analysis to determine equipment condition and carry maintenance as necessary.
• Maintaining the documentation for all systems, including single line diagrams, panel drawings and all relevant discipline electrical documents.
• Identify and recommend equipment spare part requirements and manage spare part storage and utilization.
• Supervise work carried out by external contractor for all electrical equipment protection during annual calibration and validation activities.
• Prepare and ensure all required work permits, JSA/JHA, work/tasks procedures are properly done before any work commencement.
• Perform tools inventories audit periodically and ensure all electrical measuring instruments are in good conditions and calibrated. Maintaining and housekeeping of electrical workshop.
• Support safety & health activities / campaigns organized by the company including enforcing PETRONAS, KLCC Holding and GDC (M) Sdn Bhd Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies. Attend mandatory HSE course as per required by work function.

Requirements

Qualification:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent or Chargeman A4 certificate

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years working experience in related field, preferably from plant or large facility environment and power distribution system.

Able to interpret electrical drawing include of single line diagram.
