Position Summary: The Warehouse Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse. This position involves various tasks including receiving, storing, and shipping products, as well as maintaining a clean and organized workspace.The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, physically capable, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving & Inventory: Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming shipments. Record and store inventory accurately.
- Order Picking & Packing: Pick and pack products according to order specifications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Shipping Duties: Prepare shipments for delivery, including labeling and documentation. Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Conduct regular checks on equipment and report any issues.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and returns.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ability to lift heavy items (typically up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks.
- Comfort with standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Good verbal communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and assist others as needed.
