Commercial Finance (FP&A) Manager - Kuala Lumpur
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. This role will involve preparing monthly management reports, reviewing commercial performance against budget results, and ensuring good internal control on sales rebate, pricing, and marketing spend processes.
What you'll do:
As a Commercial Finance Manager (FP&A), your role will be pivotal in driving the financial success of our client's business. You will prepare detailed monthly management reports and work closely with the commercial team to review actual performance against budget results.Your keen eye for detail will enable you to identify major deviations and update performance against KPIs where relevant. You will also conduct monthly reviews of profitability across various channels and SKUs. Your commitment to good internal control will ensure continuous improvement on sales rebate, pricing, and marketing spend processes.
- Prepare and present monthly management reports to the management team
- Review actual performance with the commercial team compared to budget results and highlight major deviations
- Perform monthly reviews of profitability on Customer Channel, SKU etc.
- Ensure good internal control and continuous improvement on sales rebate, pricing and marketing spend process
- Conduct monthly reviews of sales rebate with the sales managers
- Support the calculation of feasibility study on Commercial initiatives; includes Marketing and Sales promotion activities, Pricing Review, New products/Product Upgrade, transportation model (effects on logistic cost) etc.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Commercial Finance Manager (FP&A) role brings a wealth of experience in managing cost accounting or commercial controlling functions. With at least 5-7 years under your belt, you are well-versed in all aspects of finance management.Your leadership skills are second to none, having honed them over more than 3 years in leadership roles. Your professional certification in ACCA, CIMA or ICAEW stands as testament to your expertise. Your strong analytical skills allow you to interpret complex financial data with ease, while your excellent communication skills enable you to present this information clearly to non-financial colleagues.
Your proven track record of implementing improvements to financial processes will be invaluable in this role.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in managing cost accounting/commercial controlling functions
- More than 3 years of leadership experience preferred
- Professional certification in ACCA / CIMA / ICAEW is required
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues
- Proven track record of implementing improvements to financial processes
