Ampang Jaya - Junior Video Editor

We’re looking for a detail-driven Junior Video Editor to join our growing Malaysia team. You’ll shape raw footage into polished stories, working closely with producers, motion designers and colourists to deliver work that meets the Vicinity standard.

• Assemble and edit footage in DaVinci Resolve (core platform for our post-production)
• Sync sound, organise media, apply basic colour balancing and ensure technical accuracy
• Create simple motion-graphic call-outs or lower-thirds in Adobe After Effects as needed
• Prepare stills, thumbnails and social cut-downs using Photoshop/Illustrator
• Collaborate with the creative lead to version edits for different platforms and aspect ratios
• Maintain tidy project files, proxies and backups in line with studio workflows
• Participate in edit reviews and implement feedback promptly

• Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve for timeline editing, audio syncing and basic grading
• Working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Understanding of frame rates, codecs and export settings for web and broadcast
• An eye for pacing, narrative flow and visual continuity
• Strong organisational habits and a willingness to learn

• Basic colour-grading or sound-mixing skills
• Familiarity with cloud-based review platforms (Frame.io, Vimeo Pro, etc.)
• Experience editing short-form social or branded content

• Hybrid: at least 3 days per week in our Malaysia office (Johor Bahru) with the option to work remotely for the remaining days
• Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 10 am–7 pm (flexitime available around shoot days)
