Senior Accounts Executive

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is an added advantage
- Minimum 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience (preferably in a professional services firm)
- Experience handling clients within the renovation and construction industry is preferred
- Prior experience reviewing work and guiding junior team members
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Xero) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Mandarin (required to liaise with China-based clients); familiarity with Chinese working environments is an added advantage
- Malaysian citizen or valid work authorization
- Handle full set of accounts for assigned client portfolio
- Manage daily accounting functions including AP, AR, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements
- Assist in tax-related matters and liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and customs
- Handle Sales Tax (ST) obligations on imported materials and coordinate with Royal Malaysian Customs Department
- Process payroll including statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB)
- Review work prepared by junior team members to ensure accuracy and quality
- Liaise with clients (including China-based clients) on accounting and financial matters
- Track and compile project-level financial data (contract values, payments, supplier/subcontractor status, cash flow)
- Coordinate financial reporting and data exchange with China headquarters
- Identify process improvements and enhance operational efficiency
- Support ad hoc assignments as required by management
