About the role
Capers Early Intervention Montessori is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Needs Kindergarten Mandarin Teacher to join our team in Kota Damansara, Selangor. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional education and support to children with special needs in our special needs kindergarten.
What we're looking for- Proficiency in Mandarin is required to support children and communicate with Mandarin-speaking families.

- A Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology or a related field
- Experience in teaching in a special needs or inclusive kindergarten setting would be a bonus
- Strong knowledge of child development, behaviour management techniques and evidence-based teaching strategies for students with special needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with parents, therapists and other professionals
- Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children with special needs

What you'll be doing- EIM Program: Teach small groups of preschool students (1:3 teacher-student ratio) in both classroom and outdoor learning settings.
- EIP Program: Conduct 1:1 ABA therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Program curriculums are primarily in English, but Mandarin is used to support students who require.
- Teach Mandarin as a subject as part of our curriculum to support language development and cultural exposure for all students. ( Applicants must be proficient in Mandarin)
- Plan and prepare individualised education plans to address the unique needs of each student
- Plan and prepare engaging lesson materials based on student learning goals.
- Utilising specialised teaching methods and strategies to foster the academic, social and emotional growth of students
- Collaborating with parents, therapists and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development
- Maintaining detailed records and monitoring the progress of students
- Fostering a nurturing classroom environment that celebrates diversity
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress
- Participate in experiential learning activities, including community trips, school events, concerts, and sports day.
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to the development of students’ individualized education plans.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings, which will be held on a Saturday at the end of each term.
