We are looking for a Senior Product Owner to join the PAG‑DMC Core squad, a key team within the AU‑NPP programme.
The squad owns an installer-based product and is responsible for driving both functional and non‑functional evolutions on the AU‑NPP roadmap, including performance testing and benchmark execution.
This is a senior role that requires strong product leadership, technical understanding, and the ability to steer priorities in a complex and fast‑paced environment.
Requirements- Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) as a Product Owner or Product Manager in complex technology environments
- Proven ability to own and prioritise functional and non‑functional requirements (performance, scalability, resilience, security)
- Experience with performance testing, benchmarks, or large‑scale system validation is a strong asset
- Comfortable working with senior technical stakeholders and challenging assumptions when needed
- Pragmatic, structured, and outcome‑driven, with a strong sense of accountability
- Excellent communication skills, able to operate from squad to senior‑stakeholder level
- Product ownership & roadmap
- Own and drive the product roadmap for the PAG‑DMC Core installer-based product in alignment with the AU‑NPP programme objectives
- Prioritise the squad backlog to balance new capabilities, platform improvements, and technical sustainability
- Act as the single point of accountability for product decisions within the squad
- Own and accept delivery of features and changes at sprint and release level
- Lead the planning, execution, and follow‑up of performance tests and benchmarks, ensuring results are actionable and aligned with platform expectations
- Ensure quality, stability, performance, and security are built into the product by design
- Act as owner of product and technical escalations related to the squad scope
- Work closely with engineering, architecture, testing, and programme stakeholders
- Align dependencies and priorities with other squads contributing to the AU‑NPP ecosystem
- Provide clear and structured communication on roadmap, risks, and outcomes
- Provide strong product leadership within the squad, fostering ownership and clarity of purpose
- Contribute to cross‑squad and tribe‑level alignment on priorities and product direction
- Act as a role model for senior product ownership practices within the organisation
- Operate effectively in a delivery‑driven environment, with the ability to manage priorities, make decisions, and remain effective under pressure, particularly around delivery milestones and critical phases
