Managing Director (Reporting to Founder)

We are a fast-growing company in the [industry – e.g. beauty & wellness / professional services / technology], driven by innovation and strong leadership. As we continue to scale, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on Managing Director to lead business operations and drive sustainable growth.

Role Summary:

The Managing Director will work closely with the Founder to execute the company’s vision, oversee daily operations, and lead cross-functional teams. This role requires a strong leader with both strategic thinking and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the overall business operations and performance of the company
• Develop and implement business strategies aligned with the Founder’s vision
• Drive revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency
• Manage and lead department heads (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Operations, HR)
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure targets are achieved
• Identify business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion plans
• Establish and improve internal processes, systems, and governance
• Represent the company in key meetings, partnerships, and external engagements
• Provide regular updates and strategic insights to the Founder

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or related field (MBA is an advantage)
• Minimum 8–12 years of relevant leadership experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior management role
• Proven track record in driving business growth and managing operations
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Good to Have:

• Experience in scaling businesses or leading high-growth companies
• Industry experience relevant to the company (e.g. beauty, wellness, services, etc.)
• Experience working closely with founders or shareholders
• Mandarin proficiency (if managing Mandarin-speaking teams/market)
