Automotive Technician

• Diploma or relevant technical qualification certificate.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant automotive repair experience, familiar with various car brands and models.
• Proficient in automotive diagnostics, engine maintenance, braking systems, electrical systems, and other related knowledge and skills.
• Possesses excellent troubleshooting skills, able to quickly and accurately diagnose and resolve automotive issues.
• Familiar with automotive preventive maintenance procedures, able to perform regular inspections and maintenance according to standards.
• Good communication skills, able to clearly communicate repair plans and progress with customers.
• Possesses a team-oriented spirit, able to collaborate with other repair personnel to complete tasks together.
• Able to read and understand Chinese repair manuals and technical documentation.
• Work Location: Gombak
• Must have fluent Chinese (Mandarin) communication skills.
• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations, adhering to manufacturer specifications and Carmate Motorsport's quality standards.
• Diagnose and repair complex automotive issues, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify the root cause of malfunctions in engine, brake, electrical, and other vehicle systems.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles, assessing the condition of various components and systems, and providing detailed reports to customers regarding necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Execute engine repairs and maintenance, including timing belt replacements, valve adjustments, and cylinder head repairs, ensuring optimal engine performance and longevity.
• Service and repair brake systems, encompassing brake pad replacements, rotor resurfacing, caliper repairs, and brake line replacements, to maintain vehicle safety and braking efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and repair automotive electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, sensors, and control modules, using specialized equipment and knowledge of electrical schematics.
• Maintain accurate records of all services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job, utilizing Carmate Motorsport's designated record-keeping system.
• Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through continuous training and professional development, ensuring proficiency in servicing modern vehicles and systems.
