Job Summary:
The Account / Finance Executive is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions, preparing and analyzing financial statements, and maintaining compliance with statutory regulations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a solid grasp of accounting principles, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple financial functions efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting- Maintain full set of accounts (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements).
- Ensure all accounting entries are accurate, complete, and in compliance with accounting standards (MFRS/IFRS).
- Monitor accruals, prepayments, and journal entries to ensure proper period cut-off.
- Assist in company cash flow, monitor daily bank balances, and cash flow forecasts.
- Arrange fund transfers, payments to suppliers, and other disbursements.
- Track incoming payments and follow up on overdue receivables.
- Prepare daily sales and payment reconciliation.
- Prepare and submit tax filings (SST, Corporate Tax, PCB, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF, etc.) within deadlines.
- Liaise with LHDN, Customs, EPF, and other regulatory bodies as required.
- Support external and internal audit processes by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for cost control.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.
- Ensure financial records are kept up-to-date and accessible for audit and reference.
- Work closely with procurement, operations, and HR departments on financial-related matters.
- Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of working experience in accounting/finance, preferably in preferably in the entertainment, tourism, retail, or hospitality sectors.
- Familiarity with multi-outlet operations and assist in managing revenue from both physical and online sources.
- Experience with accounting software (SQL, AutoCount, MYOB, Xero, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) and other MS Office applications.
- Strong time management skills, able to meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage).
- Integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
