Mechanical Drafter

Diploma or Certificate in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) or related field.
- Minimum 1–5 yearsof relevant drafting experience (preferably in switchgear, electrical panels, or fabrication industry). Familiar withelectrical schematics, layout drawings, and fabrication drawings.
- Proficient in AutoCAD (2D drafting is a must; 3D is an advantage).
- Knowledge of switchgear designorelectrical panel systems is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and cloud storage platforms (e.g., Google Drive).
- Proficient in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with suppliers and partners.
- Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in drawing preparation.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Responsible, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willing to learn and adapt to new technical requirements.
- Able to start immediately or within a short notice period.
- Prepare and develop detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings for switchgear and related electrical systems.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, engineering standards, and client requirements.
- Convert manual or conceptual drawings into accurate digital CAD drawings and maintain proper version control.
- Assist in re-engineering, modification, and improvement of existing product designs and fabrication drawings.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure drawings are aligned with actual fabrication and site requirements.
- Review and update drawings based on site changes, technical feedback, or project revisions.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systemfor all drawings (softcopy), including uploading and organizing files inGoogle Drive according to project PIC and monitored by SPJEX.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS), company policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by MD or BOD.
