Ampang Jaya - Software QA Tester

1. About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer I to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end testing and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring high standards of product quality and user satisfaction.

1. Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and create comprehensive test cases and test plans.
• Execute manual and/or automated test cases for new application features and updates.
• Provide full support during UAT, PVT, and production deployment phases.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and report software defects and inconsistencies.
• Manage and deploy application fixes and version releases across test environments.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
• Maintain documentation of test results and prepare test reports.
• Work independently and take ownership of assigned QA tasks.

1. Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Experience with ERP systems, digital applications, and mobile apps.
• Exposure to the telecommunications industry is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Unix/Linux, basic programming, and SQL/database querying.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, with a positive “can-do” attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.

1. Reporting Structure

You will report directly to the QA Manager or the Project QA Lead, depending on the assigned project.
