NC Bend Setter
- Technical or vocational training in machining, fabrication, or mechanical fields is a plus.
- Previous experience working with NC bending machines or metal fabrication preferred.
- Familiarity with bending machines, tooling, and metal types.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and bending specifications.
- Basic math skills to calculate bend angles and dimensions.
- Proficient in setting up and adjusting bending machines.
- Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, protractors, and gauges.
- Knowledge of safety standards in machine operation.
Set up and operate NC bending machines according to job orders and technical drawings.
Select, install, and align the correct tooling (punches, dies) for each bending task.
Adjust machine settings such as back gauge, pressure, and bend angles manually based on specifications.
Perform test bends and measure parts to ensure accuracy and quality.
Inspect finished parts for defects or deviations from specifications using measuring tools.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the bending machine to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions or notify supervisors for major repairs.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
Record production data and complete required documentation as needed.
