- Proficiency in basic bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Familiarity with financial software and accounting systems is advantageous.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin (written and verbal) to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
- Ability to work onsite in Kuala Lumpur and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process into the general ledger.
- Verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files.
- Reconcile and resolve any discrepancies in accounting records by collecting information from various departments.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, and other relevant documentation.
- Support the finance team during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and other regulatory reports.
- Handle petty cash disbursements and maintain accurate records of expenditures.
- Communicate effectively in both English and Mandarin with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
