Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Interior Design Certification: Certification from a recognized institution (e.g., NCIDQ) can be advantageous.
  • 1-5 years of experience in interior design or related roles. For senior positions, more experience is typically required. Fresh Graduate are welcome to our company.
  • Experience working with specific types of interiors (residential, commercial, hospitality, etc.) may be preferred.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating diverse interior design projects.
  • Knowledge of Sustainability: Familiarity with sustainable materials, energy-efficient design, and eco-friendly practices in interior design.
  • Creativity: Strong design sense and ability to think outside the box while maintaining functionality.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Space Planning: Ability to plan and organize interior spaces to maximize function and aesthetics.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage intricate design details while keeping the big picture in mind.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for client presentations, collaboration with team members, and vendor management.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and staying within budget.

Client Consultation:

  • Meet with clients to discuss their vision, needs, and budget for their interior spaces.
  • Provide professional design advice and suggest design concepts that align with client preferences and functionality.

Design Development:

  • Develop design concepts and create detailed plans and layouts for interior spaces.
  • Select colors, materials, furniture, lighting, and décor elements to achieve the desired aesthetic and functionality.
  • Create floor plans, 3D models, and mood boards to communicate design ideas effectively to clients.

Project Coordination:

  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other specialists to ensure the design is feasible and within the client's requirements.
  • Oversee the procurement and installation of furniture, fixtures, and other design elements.
  • Ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high design standards.

Space Planning:

  • Optimize space use and functionality, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
  • Provide solutions for space constraints, layouts, and flow to ensure the space is both aesthetically pleasing and functional.

Vendor and Material Management:

  • Source materials, furnishings, and fixtures within the client’s budget and design requirements.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure the timely delivery and quality of materials.

Budget and Timeline Management:

  • Prepare detailed project estimates and budgets, ensuring that costs stay within the agreed-upon range.
  • Monitor project progress, timelines, and costs, making adjustments as necessary to stay on track.

Client Presentation:

  • Prepare design presentations, including sketches, renderings, and models to communicate design ideas to clients.
  • Ensure clients approve of all designs before proceeding to implementation.

Sustainability and Trends:

  • Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and technologies to provide cutting-edge designs.
  • Incorporate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient solutions into projects when possible.
