What you'll do:

As a Crisis Management Coordinator based in Penang, you will be instrumental in maintaining the organisation’s ability to respond effectively to crises that may impact its global operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close monitoring of geopolitical developments that could affect office locations worldwide, ensuring that any emerging risks are swiftly identified and communicated.
You will manage critical communication channels such as the Corporate Notification Center Crisis Management System and Employee Hotline, guaranteeing that relevant groups receive timely alerts during incidents. Working hand-in-hand with facilities teams, you will help develop comprehensive emergency plans tailored to each office’s unique needs.
Supporting senior colleagues on readiness projects will allow you to contribute directly to the organisation’s overall resilience strategy. By fostering strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, you will encourage a culture where preparedness is prioritised.

Your proficiency with digital tools will enable efficient coordination of crisis management activities while your input into process improvements will help shape best practices for years to come.

  • Monitor geopolitical activities affecting domestic and international office locations to proactively identify potential risks impacting business operations.
  • Administer the Corporate Notification Center Crisis Management System and Employee Hotline, ensuring timely communication of alerts via incident messaging systems and email.
  • Collaborate closely with facilities teams to ensure robust Office Emergency Plans are established, maintained, and regularly reviewed for all locations.
  • Support the Senior Operation Resilience Analyst by assisting with readiness projects, including testing recovery plans and participating in other proactive initiatives.
  • Work alongside business units and support groups across the enterprise to identify recovery requirements and implement effective strategies for operational resilience.
  • Guide the development of actionable recovery plans by facilitating cross-functional cooperation and validating these plans through regular testing exercises.
  • Engage with peers and stakeholders at various management levels to promote awareness of strategic recovery objectives and foster a culture of preparedness.
  • Utilise Google applications proficiently for documentation, communication, data analysis, and project tracking related to crisis management activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on existing processes and suggesting enhancements based on lessons learned from incidents or exercises.
