What you'll do:

As a Plant Finance Analyst, you will immerse yourself in the heart of the plant’s financial operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you preparing comprehensive analyses that underpin critical business decisions while ensuring all reporting is both timely and accurate.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues across departments to manage budgets effectively, establish strong internal controls, and maintain compliance with evolving regulations.   • Support the financial controlling department by preparing detailed financial analyses, reports, and budget forecasts that inform key operational decisions.
  • Participate actively in monthly and yearly closing activities, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and completed within set deadlines.
  • Contribute to the design and management of the plant’s budgeting process by collaborating with various stakeholders across the business unit.
  • Establish robust internal control systems and adopt appropriate policies to prevent inaccuracies in financial reporting.
  • Review financial data periodically to ensure its fairness, completeness, and compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with special projects as required by senior management, providing valuable insights through research and data analysis.
  • Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing clear information on complex processes and related policies.
  • Conduct research using primary data sources to analyse key themes and trends that impact plant performance.
  • Evaluate costs and identify variances or opportunities to improve profitability, sharing findings with more senior colleagues for strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols that ensure regulatory compliance and good practice.

To excel as a Plant Finance Analyst, you will bring hands-on experience managing core finance activities within an industrial or manufacturing context.   • Demonstrated experience (13 months to 3 years) working independently within finance or accounting functions in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proven ability to collect, analyse, organise, protect, and process large volumes of financial data without supervision.
  • Comprehensive understanding of costing methodologies, budgeting processes, and variance analysis relevant to plant operations.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance management principles with the ability to ensure full adherence to applicable rules and regulations.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills enabling you to prioritise tasks efficiently while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Advanced presentation skills allowing you to communicate complex financial information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience creating lucid reports that provide actionable insights for decision-makers at various levels of the organisation.
  • Competence in analysing alternatives and recommending solutions based on expected benefits, costs, and overall value for stakeholders.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through formal training or external accreditation relevant to finance roles.
  • A post-secondary non-tertiary education qualification in finance, accounting or a related discipline.
