What you'll do:
As Head of Information Technology, you will play an instrumental role in guiding the technological direction of a major hospital group. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with executive leadership to set strategic priorities for IT while ensuring that all systems are secure, reliable, and optimised for both clinical excellence and operational efficiency.You will oversee large-scale projects such as digital transformation initiatives that improve patient care pathways; manage complex infrastructure spanning multiple sites; lead efforts to integrate advanced Hospital Information Systems; enforce rigorous cybersecurity standards; nurture relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners; and foster a culture where innovation thrives.

- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy for the entire hospital group, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with healthcare regulations.

- Establish robust IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure effective risk management and regulatory compliance across the organisation.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex hospital IT infrastructure including networks, servers, storage solutions, and cloud-based services.
- Ensure optimal performance and high availability of critical hospital applications such as Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR), Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), and other clinical platforms.
- Drive the successful integration and optimisation of Hospital Information Systems (HIS) across all sites to support seamless patient records management and administrative functions.
- Manage IT service delivery operations including helpdesk support functions to guarantee consistent quality of service for all users within the hospital group.
- Lead the development and enforcement of comprehensive cybersecurity policies to safeguard sensitive patient data and protect hospital systems from emerging threats.
- Monitor security incidents proactively, respond effectively to vulnerabilities, and ensure full compliance with relevant data protection regulations such as HIPAA or PDPA.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders—including clinical teams, administrators, and executives—while managing external vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions aligned with strategic goals.

- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline is required for this senior leadership position within healthcare IT.
- At least 10 years’ progressive experience in IT leadership roles—preferably gained within hospitals or healthcare organisations—demonstrating your ability to manage complex environments.
- Proven track record overseeing hospital applications such as EMR/EHR systems along with deep familiarity with infrastructure management including networks, servers, storage solutions, and cloud technologies.
- Extensive experience developing robust cybersecurity strategies that protect sensitive data while ensuring compliance with industry regulations like HIPAA or PDPA.
- Demonstrated success implementing Hospital Information Systems (HIS) across multiple facilities to streamline clinical workflows and administrative processes.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills enabling you to collaborate effectively with clinicians, administrators, executives as well as external vendors or technology partners.
- Strong vendor management capabilities including contract negotiation skills that ensure quality service delivery aligned with organisational objectives.
