about the job- Research Leadership: Drive a robust research agenda in smart manufacturing, securing significant grants and producing impactful, high-quality publications.
- Industry Catalyst: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with local and international aerospace and high-tech sectors to facilitate technology transfer.
- Academic Excellence: Deliver engaging curriculum in mechatronics, robotics, and additive manufacturing, ensuring students gain industry-relevant skills.
- Mentorship: Supervise and inspire postgraduate students (Masters and PhD) toward successful research outcomes.

We are looking for a candidate with a blend of academic rigor and professional accreditation.- Education: A PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or a strictly related field from a recognized institution.
- Professional Status: Mandatory registration with a recognized professional body (e.g., Board of Engineers Malaysia).
- Desired Accreditations: Professional Engineer (PEng), IPEA, or APEC Engineer status is highly desirable.
- Expertise: Deep technical knowledge in Industry 4.0/5.0, robotics, automation systems, additive manufacturing, or process optimization.
- Experience: * Substantial teaching experience in higher education.
- A proven track record of securing major research funding.
- Demonstrated success in industry-academia collaboration and technology transfer.
