Area Manager

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Retail Management, Retail operations or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in managing operation across multiple stores
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communications, and team-building skills
- Strong understanding of market trends and consumer behaviour
- Flexible, resourceful, analytical and organised
- Willingness to travel within Malaysia and overseas
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans tailored to the fashion retail market, preferably in men's fashion, ensuring sustained growth and long-term profitability across multiple store locations in various Malaysian states.
- Establish and enforce high standards and clear performance objectives for each store and department, aligning with brand identity and customer expectations specific to men’s fashion.
- Optimize operational workflows and inventory management to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure an exceptional shopping experience in all stores under your supervision.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of store managers and supervisors, fostering a collaborative culture that drives sales targets, enhances customer service, and promotes professional development.
- Manage financial performance rigorously, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis, to ensure each store meets or exceeds financial goals while maintaining cost control.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, brand guidelines, and retail compliance standards, including visual merchandising and customer service protocols specific to men’s fashion retail.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of Malaysian government regulations and business compliance requirements relevant to retail operations, ensuring all stores operate fully within legal frameworks and industry standards.
- Proactively identify challenges and implement innovative, practical solutions to operational, staffing, or market-related issues, maintaining seamless store performance across states.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales growth, customer satisfaction, inventory turnover, and employee productivity, taking decisive action to address any gaps.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior executives, providing insights on store performance, market trends, and competitive landscape within the men’s fashion segment.
- Travel extensively across Malaysian states to conduct store visits, audits, training sessions, and market assessments, ensuring consistent brand presence and operational excellence in all locations.
