- Conduct research on current tax laws and regulations to support tax planning and compliance.
- Maintain organized and accurate client files, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and filed.
- Perform data entry of financial information into tax software and databases.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reconciliation, and report generation.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and answer basic tax-related queries.
- Support the team with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing correspondence.
- Develop a foundational understanding of Malaysian tax principles and practices.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax engagements.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment within a 20-person firm.
- Assist senior tax professionals in gathering and organizing financial documents and data for tax return preparation.
- Perform data entry of financial information into tax software and databases with a high degree of accuracy.
- Conduct basic research on tax laws and regulations under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Prepare and file tax forms and related documentation, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and tax authorities regarding basic tax matters, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reconciliation, and report generation related to tax filings.
