Senior Project Engineer (Manufacturing) New

We are representing a well-established multinational manufacturing company seeking a hands-on engineering professional to lead project execution and support production improvement initiatives. This role combines project coordination, process optimization and team leadership within a dynamic production environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead end to end engineering projects from planning to implementation within manufacturing operations
• Coordinate with internal teams, customers and suppliers to ensure timely and smooth project delivery
• Review technical drawings and translate requirements into practical production solutions
• Support factory layout planning, including equipment arrangement and process flow improvements
• Design and improve jigs, fixtures and production processes for efficiency and quality
• Work closely with suppliers on technical discussions, cost and lead time optimization
• Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve recurring production or process issues
• Assist in setting KPIs, preparing reports and supporting cost control initiatives
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and operational procedures

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering with experience 6 - 10 years of relevant working experience
• Strong command of English, Malay and Mandarin, both written and spoken
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, proactively communicate across departmental boundaries with colleagues and managers, Japan headquarters, suppliers and customers
• Proven ability to manage engineering projects, including internal and external stakeholder coordination
• Competent in process layout creation, handling 2D and 3D data and reading, understanding and interpreting engineering drawings
• Experience in jig and fixture design, process design and factory / process layout design, including preparation of feasibility studies
• Proficient in engineering and modelling software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks and CATIA
• Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and external vendors
