Job Summary
AirAsia MOVE is seeking a dynamic and strategic Procurement Manager - Marketing to lead procurement activities across marketing related spend categories. This includes digital advertising, media buying, creative services, partnerships, PR, influencers and event-related procurement.The role focuses on building strong supplier partnerships, optimizing cost-effectiveness, and driving value across the marketing procurement value chain. The ideal candidate will bring deep sourcing experience, preferably in digital-first or fast-paced consumer industries.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for marketing-related services, ensuring alignment with campaign timelines, brand objectives, and ROI expectations
- Conduct market analysis for media cost trends, agency pricing benchmarks, and creative procurement insights.
- Manage supplier evaluations and agency selection processes in partnership with brand and growth teams.
- Work closely with Marketing, Brand, Growth, and Content teams to understand campaign needs and deliver procurement support for activations, digital ads, and partnerships.
- Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on category spend, strategic plans, project status, and performance against established KPIs such as cost savings, sourcing cycle time, and vendor SLA compliance.
- Develop and enforce procurement policies, SOPs, and SLAs to drive consistency and governance across procurement processes.
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Define, track, and report procurement KPIs—including cost savings, sourcing lead time, compliance, and supplier performance—aligned with organizational objectives.
- Conduct structured spend analysis across key categories to identify savings opportunities, reduce maverick spend, and drive strategic sourcing decisions.
- Develop and maintain spend dashboards and ensure accurate spend classification in collaboration with Finance and Tech for real-time visibility, reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Drive innovation through supplier engagement and the adoption of digital procurement tools and processes.
- Lead or support digital transformation initiatives within procurement, including automation of purchase-to-pay processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 2 years specializing in marketing or media procurement.
- Familiarity with marketing categories including media, production, digital, and influencer partnerships.
- Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and G Suite (Sheet, Doc, Slide).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of contract law and procurement best practices.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPM, or equivalent are an advantage.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Familiarity with sustainable procurement practices is a plus.
- Experience in tech, digital, or travel industries is a plus.
