Basic Salary: Between RM6,560.00 to RM15,360.00 (depending on experience)

Area of Specialization: Construction project management, building services/mechanical & electrical systems (M&E systems), Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Location: Gombak

• Possess a PhD or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a university recognised by the Government.
• Specialization or experience in construction project management, M&E systems, or Building Information Modeling (BIM).
• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognised university.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Graduate Engineer.
• Previous teaching experience is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated academic expertise supported by research and publications.

• Ability to deliver engaging, structured, and clear lectures and coursework.
• Exhibit professional behaviour, including effective time management, task completion, and teamwork.
• Contribute to the academic community through outreach, public service, and collaborative initiatives.

• Must be a Professional Engineer (PE) or in the process of obtaining PE status / sitting for the Professional Assessment Examination (PAE).

• All candidates must have obtained:
• Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English (including oral examination) at SPM level OR an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government (for Malaysian citizens).
• IELTS Band 6 or MUET Band 4.
• Candidates without these qualifications are required to sit for the IIUM English Language Proficiency Test.

• The officer shall be a member of the Kulliyyah/Centre/Department assigned by IIUM.They shall perform teaching, examining, research duties, and other academic responsibilities.
• The officer is also required to uphold moral and religious responsibilities towards colleagues and students.They must attend meetings under the IIUM Constitution, statutes, or as directed by the Rector, Dean, or Head of Department.
• The officer is expected to participate in the general life of the IIUM community.They are also responsible for advising and guiding students on their character, conduct, and behaviour.In essence, the officer is expected to be a teacher (Mu’allim), scholar (‘Alim), and moral educator (Murabbi).

• Preparing and delivering lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars.
• Developing curricula and course materials for various platforms.
• Collaborating with other academics to improve teaching methods and expand the knowledge base.
• Setting and grading assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Conducting research, writing papers, proposals, journal articles, and books.
• Attending and participating in meetings, conferences, and other academic events.
• Participating in institutional training opportunities and initiatives.
• Providing academic and personal support to students and colleagues.
• Staying current in the field through continuous reading and scholarly publications.
