Role Overview
The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily shop operations, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring smooth coordination between the production house and retail outlet. This role requires a hands-on leader who can handle both administrative duties and physical logistics.
Key Responsibilities- Logistics & Transport
- Drive company vehicle to transport supplies/products between production house and shop (approx. 5 minutes distance)
- Ensure proper handling during loading and unloading to maintain product quality
- Inventory & Stock Management
- Perform daily stock checks before operations
- Manage inventory levels (ingredients & supplies)
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile with records
- Forecast stock needs and coordinate replenishment with production house
- Operational Supervision
- Oversee daily shop operations for smooth service and customer satisfaction
- Supervise front-of-house and back-of-house staff
- Prepare and manage staff schedules (especially for peak hours)
- Ensure compliance with recipes, food quality, and presentation standards
- Administrative & Reporting
- Prepare daily reports (sales summary, operational issues)
- Report maintenance issues and staff performance to Head of Operations
- Assist in onboarding and training new staff
