Accountant / Senior Accountant - Seberang Perai

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (accredited by MQA)

• Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or MICPA) is highly desirable
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting or auditing experience
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, SAP, YGL, Microsoft Excel)
• Strong understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and tax regulations
• Registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) or eligible for registration under the Accountants Act 1967
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
• Accountant manage all aspects of the finance function. S/he will ensure that income and expenditure are properly managed and financial controls are in place and adhered to.
• Prepare the monthly and year-end financial Report and Costing management report.
• Provide analysis and explanation of variances of key financial data for presentation to senior management team, Managing Director.
• Ensure that compliance the financial regulations and controls are in place and in use at all times.
• Submit the indirect tax (GST/SST) to Custom on time.
• Assess options for coordinating the activities, procedures and systems so as to promote internal control policies and practices.
• Prepare the yearly group budget and report the periodic financial report within the budget.
• Update the Forex rate into the ERP system.
• Train and guide the junior Accounts staff all the time and search for solution to problem.
• Restructure the accounts dept and man power planning, delegate jobs to accounts staffs and ensure completion on time.
• Liaise with Sales dept for the sales progress and cash collection.
• Understand the business structure and propose accounting pattern and information capture method.
• Reply all the stakeholder information requirement (Shareholder, Banker, Custom, Tax officer, Auditor, Co Secretary and Government)
• Maintain the statutory documents and Fixed Asset Register.
• Ad hoc job assignments.
