Requirements:

  • Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in professional services or SME environments.
  • Strong leadership, time management, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Malaysian citizen or valid residency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team & Client Management:
  • Lead our accounting team to deliver timely and accurate financial services to clients.
  • Guide, mentor, and supervise junior staff; delegate tasks and review work.
  • Plan and manage timelines for multiple client portfolios.
  • Handle billing, collections, and ensure departmental profitability.
  1. Financial Reporting & Compliance:
  • Prepare or review monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, AR/AP aging).
  • Consolidate group accounts for clients with subsidiaries.
  • Review and manage payroll, EPF, SOCSO, SIP, HRDF submissions, and employee documents.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and statutory requirements.
  • Evaluate clients' accounting systems and internal controls, and suggest improvements.
  • Liaise with clients, auditors, and tax agents to resolve issues and queries.
  1. Operational Support:
  • Monitor cashflow, perform bank reconciliations, and review cash forecasts.
  • Prepare SOPs, employee handbooks, and HR documentation.
  • Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping including sales, purchases, invoicing, and expenses.
